How long will my SnapPower Charger last?

We engineered the Charger with premium parts to ensure that it lasts for as long as possible. We estimate that the Charger will last for at least 10 years under normal use.

What device manufacturers (Apple, Samsung, Nokia...) does the SnapPower Charger work with?

All of them! The Charger charges all devices that use standard USB.

How long will my devices take to charge?

Charging times will vary depending on the actual device being charged, size of battery and manufacturer. However, it should be similar to any brand name 1 amp charger on the market. For example, the charge time is comparable to the 1 amp Apple charger that comes standard with the new iPhones 6 and 6 Plus. To give you an idea, we recently ran some numbers and did some testing. We charged Apple devices with the SnapPower Charger and below are roughly the charge times from 0% to 100%.

iPhone 6: 2 hours
iPhone 6 Plus: 3 hours
iPad Air: 8 hours
iPad Air 2: 7.5 hours

Are batteries required?

Absolutely not. The Charger draws power directly from the outlet.

What about a 2.1 amp Charger?

The 1 amp Charger was the perfect blend of function, form and speed to market. While we believe we will be able to offer a 2.1 amp version of the Charger in the future, our focus is to get a quality product into your home, and we believe we’ve accomplished that with our Chargers! We’ve done a lot of research and testing and have yet to find a USB compatible device that does not charge with our 1 amp SnapPower Charger (although some tablets and other larger devices rated for 2.1 will take longer to charge).

Does the SnapPower Charger come with surge protection?

Yes. Similar to other USB charging devices, the Charger has built-in surge protection.

How many ports are available in the Charger?

At this time, the SnapPower Charger comes with one charging port. We are committed to providing a sleek, well designed USB charging product that blends in with your home. To add additional ports will require a redesign and likely increase in size of the Charger.

On which side is the USB port located?

When installed with the charging port below the outlet, the USB charging port is located on the right side of the cover plate. Please use the image below for reference:

Will the Charger be equipped with LEDs?

At this time, the Charger will not come equipped with LEDs. The Charger is a product we anticipate being used by the bedside in many use cases and we feel that if we were to combine this product with our first product, the LEDs could be bothersome to some people.

What if my outlets are horizontal?

No problem! The Chargers will install horizontally and work just fine.

Does the SnapPower Charger come with a warranty?

Yes! The SnapPower Charger comes with a 1 year limited warranty.

What countries do you ship to?
