April is National Autism Awareness Month. YOU can take part in helping those with autism feel that they are accepted, loved, and valuable members of the community. It is as simple as being inclusive!
In a society that too often idolizes cookie-cutter-sameness, we can instead make choices to celebrate the positive and unique contributions that individuals with autism make and always fully include them. Choices like these will bring good changes to our culture and promote a new and better perspective of differences in all people. Everyone has value to offer in a community and, just like the rest of us, people with autism deserve to be treated accordingly. What if we all made a change to be more inclusive and understanding? How many smiles could be spread? Talk about something to celebrate!
SnapPower at the Uplifting Celebration for Autism event
For the past 2 years, SnapPower has had the chance to participate in National Autism Awareness Month by hosting a fun game booth at a local event called, "Uplifting Celebration for Autism". This event was organized by the Melisa Nellesen Center for Autism at the Utah Valley University. We thought it would be great to show a glimpse of our team at the event. This was our second year attending and it was a blast!
Last year SnapPower raised over $11,000 in donations from our amazing customers during National Autism Awareness Month. The donations went to The Melisa Nellesen Center for Autism at Utah Valley University. Thanks for being so generous!
What can you do to celebrate differences and autism awareness?
